Denker and the Community

Denker Avenue has worked closely with the broader community and has been the recipient of its many partnerships.  For example, we have a Technology Center that made possible by the generosity and support of the Gardena Rotary Club.  There are Macintosh computers and a smart board available for use by all teachers and students to enhance the curriculum and the learning environment. 

In 2011-2012, Denker was the recipient of a CityYear/Boeing Corporation Beautification day in which approximately 100 employees of Boeing came out to support our school with murals and inspirational words for students and families. City Year corp. members worked with our school staff and Boeing team members to brighten our school environment and create a better place to learn for our students.

With generous community support, the faculty and staff worked to have a Wonder of Reading Library for our students to experience the joy of  reading and to have access to numerous books.  In turn, we support the community and the city by participating in community events, parades, and contests.
